4 pitch walk to Cabrera. 1-0.
4 pitch walk.
The Tigers have already hit 30 homers this spring.
Even if Cueto struggles this game, he's shown that he's one of the best five starting pitchers on this team.
He's overthrowing.
He's trying to hard....he needs to relax.
RBI groundout.
Given the score, this already his worst outing of the spring....but when your ERA is 1...that's what happens.
That batter looked easy
He still did a good job getting out of that inning with only 2 runs scoring. He tried to hard against Cabrera and was very unlucky on the 1st 2 singles.
Now he needs to go back out in the 2nd and just pitch.
Strikeout on a nasty changeup to end the inning. It could have been a lot worse. Two lucky bloops singles did him in there. That could have been real bad but Cueto got two big outs there and avoided the big inning.
Haha, they have Patterson's picture up when they showed the lineup and they put up his .299 career OBP as a leadoff hitter.
Funny.
Why are the Reds not wearing any green? Have they no spirit?
The big pitch in that inning was the 1-2 slider to Ordonez. It was a borderline call that went in Ordonez' favor. A called strike 3 there and he gets out of that inning unscathed. But that happens, it's good that he's facing some adversity.
Patterson hits a bloop double. The wind is fierce today, expect plenty of bloopers.
