Bengals sign LB Jeanty, 2 others

CINCINNATI (TICKER) —The Cincinnati Bengals on Monday signed linebackers Rashad Jeanty and Corey Mays and wide receiver Glenn Holt to one-year contracts.

Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Jeanty was a starter for the Bengals last season at strong side linebacker but played in only 10 games due to a leg injury. He recorded 34 tackles and tied for the team lead with two fumble recoveries.

Mays saw action in 11 games for the Bengals in 2007 after being acquired on waivers from the New England Patriots. He ranked second on the team in special teams tackles with 15.

Holt played in every game last season, catching 16 passes for 143 yards and a touchdown. The Bengals’ primary kick returner, his 24.3-yard average included a 100-yard return for a kickoff at Buffalo on November 4.

In another move, Cincinnati waived cornerback Brandon Williams, who spent last season on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury suffered in preseason.
