Watson going back to the pen? If so, I'm OK with that. He seems like he may have a wicked two-pitch arsenal, and it could accelerate his timetable.

I really don't get the Votto as DH thing. We've seen that a few times now. Just keeping him fresh and getting Hatteberg time in the field? I'm encouraged with Keppinger batting 2nd though. Having him on base really makes the offense flow.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Votto batting 9th is beyond stupid.

    He's not batting 9th. He's our 2nd leadoff hitter.

Marty said this is the final game at Al Lang Field. It's 83 years old. No mention of it being tired and old.

Phillips called out on strikes to end the inning.

Just in case this gets spotty you know work has intervened and I will be out of here around 3 pm today so anyone feel free to take over. I'm sure everyone is just bubbling over with excitement over this game.
