    K. Davies sent to minors

Kyle Davies can't make the KC rotation. What's wrong with this guy?

I've always been a little dubious of the guy too, but he seemed to be turning something of a corner in KC last year. Is he a knucklehead? I mean, Tomko's locked up the 5 spot in his place.

I always thought Davies profiled better as a reliever. He has a good arm, but I think misses the reliable secondary pitches. Out of the pen, he could make better use of his fastball and limit the amount of reliance on his secondary arsenal.

I don't know; Ask Matt Belisle.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

not all Atlanta pitchers are overhyped. In fact ATL has traded away some pretty successful pitchers. Odalis Perez had three pretty good years in LA before injuries made his career go poof. Marquis has been decent in his four years since being traded. But really, name a Braves pitcher that was really hyped in the last 5-6 years that they traded and was a dud? Rob Bell wasn't all that hyped. Belisle was a 2nd round pick, but was coming off an injury. Not a lot of hype there.

I think the hype thing with the Braves is overemphasized.

Baseball America ranked Rob Bell as the #35 prospect in baseball in 1999...

Had he just been drafted, or was it his second year as a pro?

because BA does that A LOT.

After looking it up I see it came after a very good 1998 season. He should have been in the top 50 at least.
