    Ross DL'd

I didn't see this, but just heard on the gamecast.
At least I think so. He's still playing today, but that's what they said.
    Can you do that?

Did they mention if it is retroactive to a certain date?
Benzinger backing and calling! And the 1990 world championship series belongs to the Cincinnati Reds!

Ifhe's playing in a MLB game they can't put him on the DL.

Well, he's playing in an A game today and he played yesterday. That's the part I don't understand. I think he's going to have to do the full 15 days. They said he was there defensively, but not offensively - which is strange because he had 2 hits last game.

That's what I thought, but they said that!

They just said Paul Backo will probably catch opening day. They said that as I am writing this.

I bet they said they were going to DL after the game.

Ross "not there offensively" is only slightly worse than Bako "en fuego"

He'll be on the DL to start the season. ST games don't factor in.

Crap, what are the Reds going to do for a third catcher?

The Reds will miss his mound presence while he's on the DL.

Maybe they could make him a player-coach and just DL the player part of him.

I wonder how much major league service time Bako has....I just wonder if this whole silly routine is a, "Baker taking care of Mr. Bako" deal.

Even if it isn't a service time deal, makybe Baker just promised Bako another major league opening day.

    Just sayin' :all_cohol

He got another hit today. If Baker thinks it's getting better then this he's going to have a rude awakening.
