Can I take my big camera lens to the game?

I get to make my first trip to Opening Day and I have some really good seats too. I plan on taking my camera (Nikon D300) and my favorite lens (70-200mm VR). If you don't know, that is a big professional lens. Can I take it in? I know some places have restrictions, but I can't find anything on the Reds site.

I think the safest way to be sure is to call and ask if it would be ok.

    CAMERAS & VIDEO EQUIPMENT
Guests are welcome to bring cameras and video recorders into the ballpark for personal use provided game action is not recorded, as required by Major League Baseball. Cameras and video recorders are welcomed provided their dimensions do not exceed the 16" x 16" x 8" Major League Baseball size requirement. Guests are requested to avoid standing in the aisles while using this equipment. Guests should not obstruct the views of others while taking pictures and refrain from using tripods, monopods and other camera support pods. The Reds reserve the right to remove any Guests who do not cooperate with this policy.

That's a nice lens. When I had season tickets from 2003-2005, I brought my Canon with its 70-200mm lens to almost every game. Never had a problem. The only place I ever almost had a problem was in Toronto. At first they weren't going to let me bring the lens in, saying it was too big. But then they checked with someone else who said it was OK.

You can take it as long as you post the pictures on here afterwards.
