Sarasota is currently scheduled to start 10 minutes late due to rain. Its no longer raining but it pushed everything back just a little.

I see Stubbs in sixth in the order, similar to the end of last year when he got hot I believe.

Impressive first inning by Scott Carroll. Strikeout, groundout, strikeout.

Jordan Smith walks the third batter on 4 pitches then gets taken deep. 2-0 after 1.

Juan Francisco with a leadoff double in the second inning for the Sarasota Reds.

Drew Stubbs walks on 4 pitches.

Chris Heisey bunts and Liriano throws it away. Francisco scores, Stubbs to third and Heisey out trying to advance to second.

Carson Kainer with a sac fly that scores Drew Stubbs. Tied at 2.

Jason Louwsma with a bloop ground rule double that sounds much like Griffey's from today.

That's a pretty good line for Bailey for his 1st start this season.

I'm far more concerned with the BB's than the K's right now and it looks like he had a good day in that department. Anyone know how many strikes to balls he threw?

Here's to hoping he continues to improve.

53 strikes, 29 balls. Solid ratio.

Juan Francisco is 2-for-2 with two doubles off the tough lefty Liriano.

Juan Francisco is still only 20 years old. If he improve his plate discipline a little each year then this kid could be a special hitter.
