    Trading Pujols: A huge mistake?

I just traded Pujols in my keeper league today. It's H2H, 12 teams, and we keep 3 players every year. He had been on my team for 5 straight seasons. We start 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, C, 3 OF, U, 5 SP and 3 RP. Our hitting stats are BA, 1B, 2B, 3B, HR, SB, BB, R, RBI, OPS, and our pitching stats are ERA, WHIP, FIP, W, S, H, Kd9, QS, BAA, INN.

    Here's the trade:

I give up Pujols, Bonderman - get Soriano, Hamels, Kazmir
Team 2 gives up Teixeira, Hamels, Rios - gets Pujols, Bonderman, Swisher
Team 3 gives up Soriano, Kazmir, Swisher - gets Teixeira, Rios

    What are your thoughts?

I already have Ryan Howard and David Wright on my team, so I wasn't too worried about losing Pujols as a keeper. Hamels and Kazmir will really help my pitching staff, which had Dice-K as the only really dependable starter. Soriano, while not my favorite, will plug a hole in the outfield and help with SB.

All that said, it was really, really hard to do this trade, even thought I think I got a pretty decent return.

Thanks in advance for any comments you might have.

I think you got the best end of the deal.

I'm with the other guys. The upgrade at SP will more than offset the losses in the hitting departments.

I suppose a lot of the trade depends on Kazmir's health. If Hamels and Kazmir anchor my rotation for the rest of the season, anything Soriano does is a bonus.
