    hamels is one of the best pitchers in the league ... the odds of the Reds scoring 5 or more on this day were very low. Bronson couldn't afford to have a bad day.

    on a day when Utley/Howard goes 1-9 you would have thought the Reds should have held the Phils to no more than 2-3 runs.
