Best way to get rid of old fencing?

I'm curious if anyone had some ideas on how I can get rid of some old fencing stuff.

I have about 5 old fence posts from when we re did our backyard fencing last fall. They are about 7 feet tall. As well, I have a couple plastic gates that we replaced to match the fencing that went across our driveway.

I'm guessing I could take it to the city dump, but would rather not.

    Any thoughts are appreciated.

Set them out in the trash. Someone will take them.

But if they are in good shape, then put them out in the yard with a sign saying they are free.

Better yet, put them out with a sign saying $10. That way they're sure to get stolen.

Earth Day is at the end of the month, many communities have drives to allow folks to get rid of odd trash that is cumbersome, or electronic.

Any chance you're talking about wood?

If so, I'm a big advocate of the gasoline + lit match technique.

Either that or make the sign say "Interesting Trades Considered"
The Sox traded Bullfrog the only player they've got for Shottenhoffen. Four-eyes Shottenhoffen a utility infielder. They've got a whole team of utility infielders.

Don't even think about dumping it in an old dirt road ditch outside the city where there are hardly any houses. I am not even going to suggest that.

    No, no, no.

That one is done this way:

    Car with a trunk.
    Long drive into the country.
    Can of tuna.

I can see how you'd get those mixed up. Happens all the time.

As a someone who would be a typical recipient of drive by dog and cat-ings. It goes:

    Car with a trunk
    Long drive into the country
Find poor unsuspecting farm house with barns
    Throw cat out.
Cat pees all over said farmstead
    Cat comes up missing
The Sox traded Bullfrog the only player they've got for Shottenhoffen. Four-eyes Shottenhoffen a utility infielder. They've got a whole team of utility infielders.

May I trade you screen legend Anthony Quinn's undershirt for that fencing?
