    trade advice

OK, I'm always looking for a way to improve my team, especially early in the season. I was proposed this trade, but don't think I like it, especially since I'd have to cut 2 players to make it work. If you don't agree, please let me know why. More importantly, is there a trade that can be made that would improve my team. I wouldn't mind improving my catching, Utility & Relief spots. This team could help me improve my catching & Utility, but not the relief part. 6x6 roto league using OBP & Holds plus the traditional stats.

    Re: trade advice

I don't really see much that I can/would do. I like Soriano as he'd increase my speed, and I'd like Victor Martinez, but I'd rather have Utley & Cordero. I could potentially improve my SP, as I'm not sold on Brett Meyers and its to early to tell what the 2 young reds studs will do long term. However, at this point it would seem silly to give up on either Cueto or Volquez.

Soriano is not going to up your speed that much. He will no longer steal 25+ bases. He is now hitting #2 and really should be hitting #3 or #5.

I would use one of your SS, either Cabrera or Escobar and try to upgrade your relief spot. You have 3 closers, and still have an open spot for another HLDs guy. I'd target Marmol or Joba if you can. Of course, that is assuming this is a daily change league.

Other than that, you have a very very deep solid team.

I don't see any reason to deal. You want to have the best possible players at each position so I'd rather have 1 great player over 2 decent players, especially when the difference between the average player and FA list is basically nothing.

    Re: trade advice

Thanks, kind of what I suspected, just courious if anyone else could see the makings of a possible trade. This is only an 8 man league, so most rosters are fairly stacked. However the closer spot is definently thin, as well as the top Holds guys having been mostly taken.
