I still get the impression that something will go down before 7:10 tomorrow night.

It most likely won't be anything horribly major, but I just feel something is coming.

Ex-Twin? Check. Brings glove but no bat? Check. Veteran? check. Available? Check.

How about laying money that WK brings in Doug Mientkewicz? Then, he and Castro could play together in the occasional ill-fated game, along with Aurilia at 3b, and against a righty with a pulse, a perfect game is in play for the opposition...

I hear the Reds are about to trade Frank Duffy and Vern Geishert for some kid named George Foster. I hate to see Duffy go - he's a Stanford grad so you know he's a smart player. I think the Reds will regret this move.

I must say, you've got quite the Castro fascination there, Membengal.

I wasn't necessarily referring to kearns hitting 25-30. But you're right, Dunn would bring in a lot more than Kearns would, and I think Kearns is a more well-rounded player.

    Re: Kearns on the block

After reading this thread for the past 30 minutes, if there is one rumor that could make sense it could be this:

[B]Kearns and Lopez to Baltimore for shortstop Miguel Tejeda and possibly a reliever.

For the Reds, it upgrades their defense at shortstop where Lopez has had some problems this season. Tejeda's bat will help offset the loss of offensive production of Kearns and Lopez. Chris Denorfia could be recalled to take Kearns spot in RF and create more playing time for Ryan Freel.

For the Orioles, they fill two positions and unload a disgruntled player.
If you think small, you'll go nowhere in life.

I would have less of one if my favorite team would show some common sense in how they are using him...

with all the roid whispers surrounding Tejada I dont know if Im too keen on getting him. One thing I do think is that something is coming and its a good thing. This team needs a little shake up.
    Hoping for another Reds October

For the record: the Reds haven't used Castro in 6 straight days now!

I just checked the cell phone hacking forum I go to every so often and they are reporting that the Reds have been talking to Chuck Knoblauch.

Excellent! Ex-Twin? Check. Veteran? Check. But...questionable defense and then some, clouds that a bit. Then again, he IS available.

Take it for what it's worth, but I'm hearing Adam Dunn to Houston for Russ Springer.

Next thing you know, they'll be talking about resurrecting the career of Kirby Puckett.

We could use another Springer in Cincinnati. The first one worked out well.

Also, I'm hearing that Dunn will void his existing contract and sign a 10 year, $40.00 contract to play in Houston with a paid in full fishing license as a signing bonus.
