    Bob Friend pitched a complete-game four-hitter to get the win for the Bucs. The only hits for the Reds were a homer by Vada Pinson, doubles by Don Blasingame and Frank Robinson, and a single by Gordy Coleman. Reds manager Fred Hutchinson and Pirates RF Roberto Clemente were both ejected in the bottom of the eighth inning--Hutch for arguing balls and strikes after Reds reliever Jim Brosnan walked Bob Friend with one on and no outs, and Clemente for throwing his bat after a called third strike.
