    Juan Rivera?

In the ongoing search for a decent RH bat off the bench, I wonder what people think about Angels OF Juan Rivera? The guy is completely buried in Anaheim, in his prime, and PECOTA has his WM at .280/.332/.441, solid for a 4th OF. His career line is .289/.338/.470. Thoughts?

Reggie Willits might even be a better option given that he's stuck in AAA and would be a very capable leadoff guy. Seems like there's a fit with the Angels there somewhere.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

I thought about him, but the Angels are pretty adamant that he is not available for trade, despite his reduced playing time.

    what do the Angels need?
"On-base percentage is great if you can score runs and do something with that on-base percentage," Baker said. "Clogging up the bases isn't that great to me."

Hmmm... they appear to be short a Juan Castro. Do we have one of those lying around?

well, I've never heard of this Jeff Klepinter guy and he apparently can play several infield positions...
