    Max Scherzer Alert

Go get em boys, if he's still available.

13 batters faced last night with 7 strikeouts and no hits or walks allowed.

I know, I think he's probably worth dropping Shaun Marcum for. Agree or disagree?

If he takes that rotation spot from Gonzalez he could be.

Trouble is I have to make the decision now, as he comes off of waivers on Friday. I think I'm going to pull the trigger, given Scherzer's considerable upside. He could be this year's Lincecum.

I went to add him on Monday but someone in my league had beaten me to it Sunday night. :thumbdown

I hope he pitches well enough so that when Doug Davis comes back it won't matter and he'll stay in.

I'd like to snatch this guy up but I'll have to make room. Here is my current starting pitching.

    Harang
    Cueto
    Oliver Perez
    Derek Lowe
    Eric Bedard
    Volquez

Any suggestions to whether or not Max is worth one of these spots.

    agree with the Perez suggestion.

You don't walk into a game and strike out 7 of 13 batters as a fluke.

I'd happily drop Lowe or Perez for him. Lowe's flammable. You're whistling past the graveyard with him.

I wouldn't give up on him just yet. He gets 2-3 more starts.

I'm definitely keeping Scherzer, I just would have rather kept Marcum than Lowe.
