    Paul Simon - Kodachrome

I've been spending quite a bit of time weeping over Paul Simon lately. It's veering just slightly into disturbing territory.

He is, after all... the only living boy in New York City.

Talking Heads' "The Name of This Band is Talking Heads" is both amazing and educational.

They finally remembered how not to suck...some of it reminds me of the good old days (Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning, etc.)

I've long said that the existence of Elbow is what baffles me about Coldplay's success. Coldplay's fine for what they do, but Elbow does the same thing so so so much better. Leaders of the Free World should have been A Rush of Blood to the Head.

Never heard of Elliot Brood though. Recommended?

Mary Gauthier. Hoping to see her in Indianapolis in November.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.
