That album is a real winner. I find it tough to pull out of the cd player.

My son has been trying to get me to listen to Tickle Me Pink. Anyone heard of them?

Seriously. That and American Slang didn't leave my car all summer. Overton Park seems WAY underrated IMO...definitely a step up from their older stuff.

I can't stop listening to Bombs Away by Kyle Andrews (yes, it's the Doritos commercial song).

Also, Mumford and Sons just released an EP from a project in India. It's transcendent and yet, it works somehow.

All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.

This might be the longest thread on this forum, lol.

I have been getting into Muse lately. They are different and probably the most inventive band out there today. My guilty pleasure is Michael Buble. Yeah I know, kind of cheesy and girly but damn it, his latest CD is good. I like the Old Standards anyway so its nice to see modern singers honor that era in music.

Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, and Floyd are also staples.

There is nothing cheesy and girly about Michael Buble. He is the closest thing we have to Sinatra...great songs, great voice, and who wouldn't want to be him.
What if this is as good as it gets?

I just saw Ford has a song (Go Do) by Jonsi on one of its national ads. Always bittersweet when something like that happens to a somewhat obscure artist...nice to see the artist get some mainstream play, but hate to see the music be pimped out.

Ah, I've been listening to my CD to drop through the kaleidoscope of pumpkin-Teargarden bare winter Volume 2, Tom Tom, fellowship, deformed the United States, Stars and Stripes and Kardon Symphony. Now, I'me listen to REM Discover, and it happened today, I think it will be a good new album.
