Mr. George Strait
"My mission is to be the ray of hope, the guy who stands out there on that beautiful field and owns up to his mistakes and lets people know it's never completely hopeless, no matter how bad it seems at the time. I have a platform and a message, and now I go to bed at night, sober and happy, praying I can be a good messenger." -Josh Hamilton

"I hate to advocate chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone... But they've always worked for me."

I've long said that the existence of Elbow is what baffles me about Coldplay's success. Coldplay's fine for what they do, but Elbow does the same thing so so so much better. Leaders of the Free World should have been A Rush of Blood to the Head.
Never heard of Elliot Brood though. Recommended?

Mary Gauthier. Hoping to see her in Indianapolis in November.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.
