    Wow, what a lineup!

I just saw Vampire Weekend in Asheville on April 6. Great show.

Good to hear. Looking forward to seeing them.

They haven't announced the set times/stages yet so I don't know how it'll all work out logistically.

Re: What am I listening to?

Geez, how on earth are you going to decide who to see?

Just off the top of my head:

Muse puts on a great live show, I'd have to see them.
Gorrilaz, never seen them but always wanted to, so they'd be a must.
Jay-Z would be near the top of the list.
MGMT have been playing heavy in my music rotation lately.
Phoenix is really good live from what I've heard.
    Spoon is really good.

Those are just the more popular bands, I'm sure there are many others that are must sees that I don't even know about.

Re: What am I listening to?

There is a lot of overlap of bands I want to see. Spoon/Pavement/Phoenix/Yo la tengo all have some overlap on Sunday which sucks but I've seen them all before so oh well. I guess I shouldn't get too bent about stuff I've already seen, there are a ton of bands that I never have.

I am really excited to see Pavement as they haven't played since 1999.

I've heard White Rabbits and Girls are both really good .

    Exile on Main Street.

Greatest band of all time I humbly state.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

Love Spoon, saw them at Southgate before Gimme Fiction. Not exactly a great live band nor exciting. Saw them later and it hadn't changed.

Yeah, I saw Spoon a couple years ago and was pretty disappointed.

I saw them at Bogarts with The Walkmen and White Rabbits, and I would have to disagree. I found all 3 bands to be thoroughly exciting.

"California On My Mind" by Wild Light has been stuck in my head for days. The lyrics are hardly Dylanesque - and definitely NSFW - but boy is it catchy.

New albums by The National, LCD Soundsystem, and Broken Social Scene. Glorious.

Re: What am I listening to?

I've seen Spoon 6 or 7 times. (Britt Daniel lives in Portland)

Most of the time they've been really good.

Like most bands of that ilk they're better inside than out and the smaller the room the better.
