Superchunk is great. Saw them a couple of weeks ago. Great show. Another good 90's Chapel Hill band is Small 23. The album "true zero hook" is really good.

I wish they'd add more dates.They are sticking to the coasts.

I see Florence and the Machine are on SNL tonight...thats it...I have to ask.
Is there some sort of mass music business conspiracy to push them into the mainstream? They were on a MTV awards show recently,SNL tonight,a top-40 station by my that typically plays nothing but your Taylor Swift/Nickelback/dreck, they are on a comtempory rock station that is usually hard to break into by me as well.
It just seems odds to me all the airplay and publicity they are getting as of late. If it is because their music is awesome just tell me and I guess that will answer it.
WOY and I are going to see Greg Dulli of the Afghan Whigs tonight.

Going back in the catalog a bit and listening to Sufjan's Stevens' Seven Swans.
Also been listening to anything either mellow or layered that I can find on my ipod. The Church, John Mark McMillan, U2, Quiet Science, etc. I'm trying to just float away.
