The Trade that Must Happen for the Well Being of Two Franchises!

The Reds must trade Adam Dunn to the Royals for Zach Greinke. The Reds need starting pitching badly and the Royals are starved for power and have been for a long time. This trade needs to happen.

I live 2 Hours from Kansas City now, and Zach has been good...

But... The guy just got comfortable in KC and had a Mental Breakdown a couple years ago...

This wouldn't be a Money in the Bank Trade for the Reds...

The Royals would hang up if we called and offered. No sense .......Dunn is due big money...the opposite of the KC way.
    Hoping for another Reds October

No way KC does this deal. Doesn't make sense for them at all. Greinke is having a fine season (I have him on my AL fantasy team).

I realize this team as every team needs pitching.
However with guys like Harang,Cueto and Volquez (let them grow this season), I believe the reds will have a pretty good top 3.
This offense is one thing that needs to be addressed, if not now, at least for later.
It is pretty safe to assume ,imo, Jr and Dunn more than likely will not be with Cincy next season.
Get a big rh bat to stick in the middle and build around Bruce/Votto.
Let BP bat elsewhere in the lineup other than cleanup. I still think EE can be a decent run producer.
I guess what I am saying is a big bat (a Holiday type) in this lineup would make a world of difference.
Right now, I would like to see Bruce in center the rest of season then move him over next.
It is a pity in early may to talk of next season already but oh well.

The Reds problem (suddenly this year) is in scoring runs. There are some good arms in the Reds farm system. Right now, they need hitters, not pitchers.

Only if the Royals are being run by one of the nubs in my fantasy league.

That would be a steal, Dunn's value is close to nothing, hopefully someone is willing to part with some marginal prospects

There's also that pesky no trade clause that Dunn has til mid June, and then after than he gives a list of clubs he'd go to. I got this sinking feeling the Royals aren't on there...
I have a love-hate relationship with Albert Pujols. Mostly hate.

I agree, Dunn's value is close to nothing on the market right now. Why would someone give up valuable players or prospects for 4 months of Adam, particularly while he is underperforming.

It won't happen, but wouldn't Griffey for Sexson make some sens for both teams? Both players might be able to get a little jumpstart with a change of scenery, Jr. can DH some which might improve his overall numbers, the salaries basically match up, both are in the last years of deals, for us right field would be freed up for Bruce and Sexson gives us a right handed platoon partner for Votto and some much needed pop off the bench from the right side.

Who was the last player we unloaded to dump salary?

Larue? No we still paid him.

Casey? We did so well on that I forgot who the player was.

Griffey and Dunn are both here for the year.
