Raining pretty heavily in Queens.
Raining pretty heavily in Queens.
Maybe we'll get lucky and get rained out, then we can move up the rotation again.

We're supposed to get over 2" of rain today. I doubt that they get this game in unless they're prepared to sit out a lengthy delay.

The weather guy on WLW this morning doubted it.
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.
This is the National Weather Service forecast for New York sounds like it may end by around 8 so if that is right may be able to get it in with a delay.
Late Afternoon: Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. Steady temperature around 52. Northeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Tonight: Rain, mainly before 8pm. The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 47. Breezy, with a north wind between 15 and 21 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
They just changed that forecast now it is supposed to rain until midnight so this is looking like a rain out.
Tonight: Rain likely, mainly before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 47. Breezy, with a north wind between 15 and 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Double header in the next two days at all?

Play in the rain....wimps
If the game is called and no DH is scheduled, both teams have an off day on 7-31 as the Reds have a 3 game series in HOU Jul 28-30 and the Mets are in FLA those 3 days. The Reds are going to D.C. on Aug 1 and the Mets to FLA.
I would imagine if it's called, a DH will be played tomorrow...
Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.
Unless the field is completely unplayable, I think they'll play.
When? I don't know....reports now saying rain chances tonight are only 30%, so it's just a matter of this rain getting through.
