Hell I just don't want to see both Belilse and Arroyo when we go see the boys in LA.

This would be great if it gets rained out tonight!!!

Was just wondering around on a few Mets boards and they say they are going to try and get the game in tonight.

It's not raining very hard right now. Now what happens in the next hour or so, I don't know. It's drizzling at the moment, although I'm not in Queens. I don't think it's much different, though.

If the rain moves NE then there won't be a problem as there's a clearing with nothing behind it. However, when it's put in motion, it looks as though the system is moving ENE, meaning it could be a while (a few hours) before the rain tapers off.

SNY's pregame show just reported that they will try to play the game and that the rain is supposed to let up around 7PM for a period of time. The rain supposedly has let up quite a bit over the last half-hour or so.

Well that's certainly good to hear. Like I mentioned, if the system just turns a bit more NE, there really shouldn't be a problem after a short delay. It looks like it's moving more easterly though, so I would've predicted a substantial delay, but I guess that's why I'm not a meteorologist.

They do go to Yankee & Philly, but the schedule doesn't work with the Mets.

There's an unwritten rule that states that the Yankees and Mets never play on the same day in NYC unless it's against each other.
Back in 1997, both teams were rained out in New York and they played a double doubleheader.

Looks like there is going to be some sort of delay anyhow. Not sure how long though.

According to John Fay this won't start until 8:30 at the earliest. It is a light rain but it is still raining.

Piecoro just said they're trying to get to the tarp off at 8:30, but "there's no way that's gonna happen." The radar agrees. The storm system is moving almost due East now, and there's a hundred miles of more rain West of NY.

Also, Grande now saying talk is that the game will be postponed and there will most likely be a double header tomorrow starting at 1 pm.
