Bats are scoreless through 6.2 innings. Lehr has given up only 3 hits and struck out 4. Janish is 2-2.

Does anyone know what happened to Dorn? He hasn't had an AB since the
2nd week. Is maybe his shoulder messed up again?

Jay Bruce pinch hit for Lehr in the bottom of the 7th with two outs and Janish on second (he doubled earlier). He flies out to right.

    Bats trailing 1-0 after 7.

I know he had stitches for a severe cut and missed games, but I'm not sure how long ago that was. Doug knows for sure.

Bats send 6 to the plate in the bottom of the 8th, but still manage to not score (Hanigan lined out to right with the bases loaded to end the 8th). Bats still trail 1-0.

    ETA: Bats lose 2-0.

he cut his knee real bad in a game while he was sliding into base I think. He is on the dl but I thought he was playing now for rehab in Sarasota.

Lehr appears like he could be serviceable, or at least more so than Shearn. Thoughts?

Another decent outing for Ben Jukich.

    7.333 IP, 5H, 2ER, 4 BB, 5K. 15GB/7AO.

Lots of Grounders. Still concerned about the K/BB rate but a LHP with such a stong GB % and some fairly solid results since the trade to the Reds organization should start appearing on somebody's radar IMO. He's 25, but the old adage about LHP maturing later may be in play here.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!
