Dickerson homers off Scott Williamson to make it 7-0 bats.
Bruce up next.
Bruce singles to right. He's 4-4 on the day and just a triple short of the cycle.
4-4 and .348 average, but no walks today. I'm sad.
The cycle would be sweet....isn't this the 3rd time this season he was one hit away?
I think we'll see Bruce in Cincy by the end of the month.
Maloney Ks Brandon Jones to begin the 7th. 7 Ks today.
Barbaro Canizares lines a single into center (2-2 pitch) to break up the no-no. 6.1 no-hit innings for Maloney today.
Maloney gives up another single after Canizares' base knock but gets the next two batters to fly out. 7 IP of 0 run ball for Maloney today, lowering his ERA to 5.23.
Doubleheader today, so they only played 7 innings. Bats win 7-0. Maloney came 2 outs away from throwing a no hitter, and Bruce went 4-4 with a HR, 2 2B, 1B, and 2 RBIs.
Maloney's line: 7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 7 K, 5.23 ERA

I wonder if Maloney will get a shot at the 5th spot in the rotation.
Belisle reminds me of what the Mets went through with Heilman. They almost cut Heilman as a failed starter at one point before converting him to the bullpen, where he's been quite effective.

Jay Bruce is 16 for 25 (.640) in the last 7 games, one game he pinch hit. He has hit 4 doubles, a triple, and two homers in that span as well.
