Tremendous way to get your first career hit! Congrats Paul!
Nice way to start a career...
....and Roy Hobbs, in his Knights uniform, with light bulbs flashing, and fireworks exploding, trots around to the amazement and excitement of the New York faithful........
Mr. Janish, welcome to the big leagues. See you starting tomorrow night.
Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.
Way to go, Janish! You followed my demands to rope a game-winning hit!

[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob
Nov. 13, 2007: One of the greatest days in Reds history: John Allen gets the boot!
See, it wasn't all our optimism...it was all a setup for the Rookie. The baseball gods shine on Paul Janish today.

Janish.
First major league game
First sweet play in his first inning at short.
First game winning hit.
First bloody nose from gang initiation.
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.
On a list of things that remind you why it is cool to live and die with a team, seeing a win like that, from the ashes of awfulness, on the back of a rookie getting his first hit, well, awesome. In every respect.
If there was anything at all that could get the good feeling back that was squandered in the 9th, that right there was it.
