I don't want to derail the thread, but as of this date Dunner is hitting:
.328 .488 .656 1.144
AND he doesn't lead the team in strikeouts. He has four guys ahead of him and Kearns nipping at his heels. Amazing start to the season for Dunn.

I watched Dunn go yard again last night against the D-backs.
"My mission is to be the ray of hope, the guy who stands out there on that beautiful field and owns up to his mistakes and lets people know it's never completely hopeless, no matter how bad it seems at the time. I have a platform and a message, and now I go to bed at night, sober and happy, praying I can be a good messenger." -Josh Hamilton
Outstanding work, AD.
Really well done. Thanks for all the effort.

And yet another tonight (5/9).

On pace to hit 59 homers.
(for those ready to flame, im kidding...relax)
Dunn is on pace to end the season with 1417 career strikeouts. If that does indeed occur, here are the list of guys he'll potentially pass on the all-time strikeout list (a few above him are still active):
This isn't a thread derail by the way.... Dunn will be passing guys like Ripken, Foxx, Ruth, Yastrzemski, and Aaron.Code:rank player SO 61 R. "This isn’t stats vs scouts - this is stats and scouts working together, building an organization that blends the best of both worlds. This is the blueprint for how a baseball organization should be run. And, whether the baseball men of the 20th century like it or not, this is where baseball is going."---Dave Cameron, U.S.S. Mariner
Hank Aaron K'd over 1300 times? Somebody get Dusty on the phone for confirmation, I don't believe it.
in their era, Foxx and Ruth were discussed the way kids of my generation discussed Rob Deer and Dave Kingman.
but compared to hitters that they helped to create, they come across as contact hitters.
