Oh, btw, Jay Bruce's HR and single were both off of a lefty. He also added a stolen base and has scored twice.

Who said Stubbs was 2-3 tonight? Box score above says 1 for 4. Bummer.

1-4 with a walk. I have noticed that sometimes whoever is doing the online box score messes up, then fixes it later in the game. Could have been what happened.

Rosales has continued his strong month of May, he is 1-3 with a double in game 2. In May he is hitting .311/.415/.456 after a terrible April.

Jay Bruce was just robbed of another hit on a very good play by the second baseman.

Chris Dickerson left the game with an injury. He seemed to have a quad problem. Hopefully its nothing serious.

As I mentioned earlier in the week, I think Sean Watson is starting to reemerge.

Re: May 16th Minors Updates--Bailey Pitching

Went to the doubleheader in Louisville tonight, and left at the top of the 4th in the second game.

-Bailey lacked control, though the hits he gave up weren't crushed. He settled down in the 4th and 5th innings, which was nice because IIRC Brower was warming up in the bullpen in the 3rd or 4th inning. Glad to see him get out of those innings.

    - Bruce and Dickerson mis-communicated on a fly ball in the first game of the DH, in which Bruce was in CF and Dickerson in RF. Thought either one of them should have got it.

    - The first game ABs for Bruce weren't very good as he was terribly fooled on an off-speed pitch on his K.

    - I definitely wanted to stay for some of the second game because Kei Igawa started for the Yankees. He struck out Dickerson and newly arrived Phillips on some nasty off speed pitches.

    - Bruce's HR off Igawa was very nice because handled the pitch very well. I don't know if he was sitting on something or not, but he was ready for it.

    - Mallett pitched well for the time that I was there. Consistently threw 91-93 while touching 89 and 90 at times. I think I only saw him throw one off-speed pitch at 83mph. Seemed like he was throwing straight fastballs the entire game.

Overall, the first game was blah because of Bailey's performance, but the second game was nice seeing Bruce and Rosales get 2 hits a piece while I was there. Igawa had his own personal translator with him while he was warming up.

Yeah, off Kei Igawa. Igawa was looking pretty nice with his off-speed stuff tonight.

I'll be keeping an eye on that game. Ravin has one of those special arms if he has figured out what he's doing.

Boxscore had him at 2-for-3 at one point but they must have went back and changed one of the hits to an error or something.
