Nice job by Belisle pitching around the leadoff double.

Maddux had to just be licking his chops at seeing no real 'hitters' in the Reds lineup. With his intellectual approach...he will once again eat these guys for lunch if he can hit his spots.
It's cat and mouse, and the Reds are like a mouse without legs against Maddux on most occasions.

They better watch those high throws today.

Phillips with the strikeout. He's the kind of guy who Greg Maddux will just abuse all day.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Dunn tags one inside out to the left field gap for a double.

Dunn doubles. If I were the Padres I would open the vault for Adam Dunn. This is a ball park where you need a couple of true home run hitters, guys who hit the ball 400 feet. Dunn would be perfect, knows the NL, etc.

If Reds want to explore trading Dunn, this is the team.

dunn and valentin batting back to back. that is a very slow part of the order.
there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

Ricky henderson has a higher OBP than C. patterson and he's retired. C. Trent 6-14-2008

EE fails again with a weak grounder to third.

I'm really surprised EE is in today. With the off day tomorrow and him with the flu I'd have let him have today and come back Tuesday at home.

Belisle gives up a lot of hard hit ground balls. My guess is Dusty didn't want Freel playing third after last night's defensive performance.

Kouzmanoff single, Greene double and to 3rd on throwing error by EE, on a fastball right down the center. 1-0 Pads, then a sac fly by Barrett 2-0 Padres
