Who? They need an OF. Dorn is off to a poor start, Szymanski is now a non-prospect IMO and Henry has promise but is in line behind the other two. I think Tonys Gutierrez would be a good guy to promote, but Andy Phillips and Kevin Barker leave little room at 1B at the moment.

Cumberland is not in the line-up tonight.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Could Ramirez help in the bullpen this year, or is he slated for starting?

I like Jocketty's plans so far. If a guy is ready to move up, move him now. If there is a prospect blocking him, move him up. If there is a non-prospect blocking him, sell the non-prospect to Korea.

We should probably hire a Korean translater for Corey Patterson.

Has anybody heard anything else concerning this? I'm guessing that CTA513 misheard and they were talking about Lehr. But you never know.

It IS getting close to the time that we'll have to be clearing out the aging dead wood in Louisville to make room for the young guns. But I think Shearn could help the big club....certainly more than some of the guys up there now.

Shearn would actually be Josh Fogg v. 2.0. He strikes out too few, walks too many, and is prone to the long ball. I think the Reds correctly view him as a AAA lifer only to be used in an emergency situation - the kind where you really don't have any other choice.

I got back from the Clippers/Bats game a few minutes ago and there wasn't much to report on the prospect front. Ramon Ramirez was impressive, hitting 93 a few times and throwing a good changeup that allowed him to get most of his Ks. I'm hoping Andy Phillips will be on his way to Cincinnati as well after Hatteberg gets traded/DFA, the guy can hit. Rosales looks absolutely lost at the dish...I don't think he got the ball out of the infield all night. Pelland pitched a 1-2-3 8th. Otherwise, it was dime a dog night which is quite possibly the sickest promotion in all of sports. A guy in front of us ate 26 by my count

Tyler Pelland may finally be putting it together. He's been very, very good in his last four outings: 4 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K.

He could reach Cincy later this season.
