ok, we should be up and running now...sorry, just got home...
Nice first inning from Volquez. Who says Hairston can't field?
Dusty on Bruce:
Baker said he's been impressed with Jay Bruce defensively, both in center and right, but sees him ultimately as a rightfielder. "That's where I feel he'll be eventually. But if you can play center, you can play all of them," Baker said. "He's handled it well. I just think with his size, he's going to get bigger and you'd like to have a burner in centerfield."

"you'd like to have a burner in centerfield"
who can not clog bases, and leadoff.
ZING!
I'll tell ya what, this is going to be a tough game to win. Volquez got squeezed twice against Kelly Johnson but Glavine is already getting a huge strikezone. That second called strike on Hairston was 6-8 inches outside.
Escobar grounds out. Johnson and Jones fan. Nice first inning by Volquez
Leaoff walk for Hairston.
Good top of the first for Volquez with 2 Ks.
I still wish the Reds had pitched Fogg tonight and Volquez tomorrow to give him an extra day of rest.
Brantley is getting carried away with Jheri. I admit he has played well so far this year. His history suggests he won't keep it up.
My first Bruce experience.
Bruce singles to right. 1st and 2nd.
Bruce is crazy good.
