I'd send him back to Louisville to work on his defense and baserunning.

    Simple: Option Bruce, recall Patterson

baker would be waiting at the airport for him.
there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

Jay Bruce has been on base three or more times in five of six games. The other game he reach base on a HBP.

Why throw Burton out for another inning of work? You're pretty much making him unavailable tomorrow if he's needed.

Reds draw 35,942 today, and that pushes them over 111k for the series. They'll draw well on June 10th for Nuxhall night, and they'll sell out the Red Sox series so four out of the next six home games will be well attended too.

If I was a mod, you'd get an automatic 18 year ban.

Of course they do. I'm not saying he should be benched or anything; I'm not trying to be a buzz-kill on the Bruce lovefest. I'm glad it happened in a spot where it didn't do any damage. I'm just saying we shouldn't completely brush it off because it didn't hurt us this time.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

But everybody else will be available tomorrow.
