    Re: Arroyo vs. Kendrick (6/2/08)

Need another strong performance out of Arroyo. Winning the first game is key to the whole road trip. Get to Kendrick early!

Yeah, I agree. I hope the Reds prove that our starting pitching is better than there's in this road trip, because I think it is. I just hope our offense continues to do well.

It looks like the Reds hit Kendrick pretty well, but they return the favor against Arroyo. I'm hoping for a low scoring game, but we could be in for a slugfest.

    We will lose a slugfest.

Arroyo needs to give up less than 3 in 6 innings.

    Kendrick pitches and wins in a lot of 1-RUN games! ! ! ! !

That tells me the phillies have been getting lucky being on the winning side of 1-RUN games.

    Re: Arroyo vs. Kendrick (6/2/08)

Phils fan here with what you have to look forward to this week:

Kendrick - Not overly impressive but generally does enough to win. He usually implodes in the 6th if he makes it that far

Eaton - Just horrible. Don't let his couple recent starts fool you, he completely loses it at some point in every game. He walked Randy Johnson with the bases loaded on four straight pitches earlier this year. That cost them a game.

Myers aka 10-cent - This guy epitomizes the million dollar arm and 10-cent head mentatlity. His velocity, command and confidence are down, plus he is just plain stupid.

Hamels - A couple rough outings but genuine class. Probably not a good idea to let Bailey make his debut against him.

Bullpen - Extremely effective this year. Romero, Durbin and Lidge are unhittable and Gordon has been real good minus a couple bad outings.

Offense - As good as it gets. Charlie has a knack for putting guys in when they will succeed. Utley and Victorino are real hot, Howard and Burrell are spotty but Burrell can be real clutch. Feliz and Jenkins are heating up now too. Chris Coste is hitting like crazy when he plays. Greg Dobbs is the top PHer in the league and can spot start against tough righties which you guys have a few.

Rollins is scuffling the last couple games but he's too good to stay in a prolonged slump.

I know you guys are raking to so there should be plenty of fireworks. If the Phils win either the Myers or Eaton starts the Reds will be lucky to split.

BTW, I have Encarnacion on my fantasy team but I benched him this week. I can't believe he hasn't broken out yet.

If the Phils get to the 8th with a lead they are real tough to beat. Lidge's ERA is 0.78 and it shouldn't even be that high as one of the 2 earned runs he's allowed is due to a misplay by Jayson Werth. Durbin and Romero's ERAs are less than 2.00.

Lets hope they knock the kid around a little bit against the first place Phillies.

I think my predictions worked out pretty good. I hate to say it but you will win tomorrow. The Phillies don't score for Eaton and Eaton completely sucks.
