Todd Frazier must have a mild injury because he missed a couple games only to return on Sunday and go 3-for-4 with a walk and now has missed the last two games again.

Maloney has given up back to back singles to lead off the 1st. He struck out the next batter.

Juan Francisco singled and scored on a Drew Stubbs double. Sarasota up 1-0.

That is Stubbs third double in the last five games, so hopefully he's starting to warm up again.

James Avery, goodluck tonight. You are going to need it. Huntsville is running out these guys as the 1-2-3-4-5-6 tonight:

    Michael Brantley .329/.402/.397
    Alcides Escobar .331/.371/.456
    Mat Gamel .382/.444/.670
    Angel Salome .369/.401/.562
    Matt LaPorta .286/.395/.586
    Cole Gillespie .284/.374/.515

Their team OPS is .844. Talked about a stacked team. They have 66 HR as a team. The next best team in the league has 46.

Huntsville is the Brewers' affiliate, right? Are all those guys legitimate prospects?

It almost makes me wish Thompson was still in AA. I'd like to see how he'd fare against such a formidable lineup.

Which makes what Travis Wood did last night even more impressive.

Good point. The only one of the 6 you listed that Wood didn't have to face was Salome. Great stuff from Wood, and that should give him a bunch of confidence going forward.
