Dayton is delayed currently due to lightning, among other severe weather around the area.

Valiquette came out for another inning and allowed a walk and added another strikeout. He went 1.2, 3h, 1bb (Intentional), 0r and had 3 K.

With all these guys now playing at higher levels, Reds could use a draft around now to stockpile the lower minor league levels. Maybe Thursday.

Re: Tuesday June 3rd minor league updates

Pedro Viola had pitched well in his last three innings up until tonight's blowup. He's still pretty young and has great stuff. Right now it's a command issue but hopefully he can fix it up and put together a strong second half. I saw him pitch on TV against the Rays in spring training and came away impressed with his 93-94 mph fastball and nice slider. He reminded me a bit of Damaso Marte of the Pirates.

Stubbs has an OBP of .383 . Its time for him to move up and see if he has more power outside of the FSL. 36 BB in 201 AB (237 PA). We could also see whether there's something to his home/road splits.
