For comparison purposes, the Chicago Cubs pitchers have a collective OPS of .543 so far this season in 146 plate appearances. Cardinals pitchers are putting up a .485 OPS, and Diamondback pitchers are putting up a .444 OPS this season.

Pitching staffs are providing more damage offensively than Corey Patterson.
What's sad is that everything you just typed would be completely lost on Dusty Baker.

Oh well. It's better than a bunt single to break it up.

Wow. Where was that 2-2 pitch to Burrell? That was strike three on EdE.

One of these days Cueto/Volquez are going to throw a no-hitter.

So does Volquez have any other pitch besides a fastball and changeup?

The lineup tonight gives us next to no chance to win. What a joke. One of the first things I've not liked about Walt is bringing CP back. 75-87 at best for this crowd.

Felix pops out. Scoreless after 4. The Phillies forced Volquez to throw 25 pitches that inning driving his pitch count up to 72.

A lot of pitches that inning. Now 72 pitches through 4 for Volquez.

In comparison Myers has only thrown 48 pitches. Of course the Phillies don't have hitters like Patterson in their lineup.
