Volquez is in unbelievably serious trouble right now.

I don't think he's gonna wriggle his way out of this one.

Bako- I don't mind so much. He's better than Javy behind the plate, and makes a fair platoon with Ross.
I agree, but he's also 58 years old, and has caught more this year that he has in a long time.
You rode the mule til your starter got healthy, be happy with that and go to a guy who you pay to start (who's also faired pretty well at the dish so far)

But no. It reminds me of my younger day in Tahoe....when I'd win big early, then get back to even and dig the hole, thinking I could get it back. Doesn't work Dusty, fold em and move to another table.

Howard flies out to left. 0-0 after 5. 90 pitches for Volquez so probably one more inning.

That was scary. Volquez had a decent pitch count through three but the Phillies have really made him work the last two innings.
    I miss Adam Dunn.

That will catch up to him at some point, for sure. Lives to pitch another inning at this point however.

Volquez strikes out swinging. 6 Ks for Myers. 1 out.

So you're saying Dusty is a degenerate gambler?? (Didn't we have one of those already??)

Myers will have a no-hitter through six full innings once Patterson makes his out.

First pitch pop out by Patterson. Five pitches in three atbats. He's easily the worst player in baseball.
    I miss Adam Dunn.
