That is 105 pitches for Volquez. I would call it a night at 105 pitches but I bet Dusty tries for one more inning.

    Volquez: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 7 K, 2 BB, 1.34 ERA

105 pitches. Who thinks Dusty will send him out for the 7th?

Oh he's coming out to start the 7th.

I'd be shocked if he doesn't.

105 pitches through six. That should be all for Volquez but then again, you never know with Dusty. Last start he sent Volquez back out there for the 7th despite throwing 100 pitches in six.
    I miss Adam Dunn.

Bruce has caught Patterson's disease grounds out on the first pitch.

Actually I guess that was the 2nd pitch

I'd let him go one more, as long as it's an easy inning, but have guys warming up in case he gets into trouble or loses form.

105 is not bad for Volkie, really.

That was not an all star performance.

I'd be absolutely floored if Volquez isn't back out there for the 7th inning. Dusty's driven to do what he can to blow up an arm in a Reds uniform.
