George Grande just made it sound like Cordero hit that ball 600 miles. And it was a double play.
Benzinger backing and calling! And the 1990 world championship series belongs to the Cincinnati Reds!

Why did Bako bat vs. the lefty?

Why wasn't Cordero given the "take" sign for his entire AB?

These are managerial decisions that need to be questioned, regardless of the outcome of tonight's game?

I have lost of track of the number of questionable decisions he has made just tonight. Hopefully this team can win this one despite the manager.

Gotta love managers and their devotion to double-switches...
"On-base percentage is great if you can score runs and do something with that on-base percentage," Baker said. "Clogging up the bases isn't that great to me."

    How about what George?

I don't mean to get on the bandwagon of anti-Grandeness, but c'mon, that was a slow roller. It wasn't gonna sneak through THAT defense.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Cincinnati Bengals - None
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

All that and this team gets one stinking run and nothing with the bases loaded and 0 outs.

No reason to let Bako hit there.

    UHHHGGGGGHH. Painful.

It's a pitchers night, the Reds should finish this out all right.

    Agreed CE.

This was a very poorly managed game. It ranks right up there with the 18 inning game against the Padres.
    I miss Adam Dunn.

I just don't see what Baker did so wrong in this game or, frankly, in recent games. Ok, he shouldn't have let Bako hit there. But that is one move. He handled the pitching well and has done so in recent weeks.

Sorry, just a tough road series against a very good team.

Let's hope Jocketty has the stones to at least ask the question in his next conversation with Duster. Somehow, I doubt it...
