    Alonso could win it here.

Alonso almost had a walk off double instead he flew out and the runner got doubled off of second.

Wow, the wind must have been carrying that in, because it looked like he KILLED that.

He smoked that ball. They say the wind kept it in the park, but I think he just squared it too well and didn't get that topspin. When the centerfielder caught it, he had almost overrun it.

Alonso really reminds me of Votto. Not so much how he sets up, but his hands and the way he drops the bat head on the pitch. Two Joey Vottos in a lineup is not a bad thing moving forward...

I thought Alonso's hit was gone right when he made contact.

    Me, too, NDRed.

It's too bad one of these two teams won't get to the World Series. They are both one of the 8 best in College right now.

3-run blast by Arizona in the top of the 11th.

I was shocked that ball Alonso hit wasn't a homerun. It looked long gone off the bat.
    I miss Adam Dunn.

The one that Arizona hit had a low projectory and avoided the wind, but it WAS crushed.

    Miami facing elimination.

    Oustanding pitching by both teams.

Tomorrow's game should be just as close.

One more Miami loss till we can focus on signing Alonso and getting him going.
