From 1-2 to 3-2 on Treanor. Strike three called!

    8-3 Reds after 5.

Great pitch. Anyone with a pitch count for Johnny?

Bako stinks at calling a game. At least Cueto got the K to end the inning with only 1 run scored, but here is Cueto throwing a great fastball tonight (95 consistently, up to 97) and Bako wants to call those cute breaking balls up by six runs!

And it's not just tonight... I've noticed this all season with Bako. He simply does not call enough fastballs.

Cueto didn't have the command of his slider today but was able to battle through five innings and give the team a great chance to win. Not bad. He had great command of the fastball but just couldn't command the slider well tonight.

He tends to let his stuff rise up in the zone too much something I think he'll get better at. When he stays at he knees he's near unhittable. All Johnny needs is to keep going out there for his starts.

Cueto flies out. Cueto has thrown 104 pitches and clearly was struggling out there last inning PLUS the Marlins have the top of the order coming up. No way you leave him in.
