It looks like being removed from the roster woke him up. Last 10 games: .368/.368/.605. Still no walks and the guy is the definition of a journeyman. I hope he isn't being considered for the big league team.

Sounds like Thompson doesn't have his A game tonight. It'll be interesting to see how he responds.

Sarasota tied at 1 through 4 and a half. They have 7 hits but just 1 run off of Price.

Dayton is trailing 1-0 heading to the plate in the first.

Alex Smit should start getting some attention. 4 IP, 1H, 1ER, 2 BB, 6K.

He's a fly ball guy who still walks more guys than I'd like, but he's the type to polish up. His youth and inexperience may well be reasons that he may yet fulfill his promise. I don't really like another fly ball guy at GABP, but a young lefty (22) with promise should be marketable IMO.

    Maybe he's hungover or something...

Working on the quad tonight. Dragons and Reds game on the TV (picture in picture is great), Chattanooga is on the radio via internet and Louisville is on the internet video. Lots of baseball for me tonight.

Louisville just took a 5-4 lead on a bloop single. Didn't see who it was or who scored.

Eric Eymann hit a baseball out of the stadium, and I literally mean out of the stadium (off Jeff Szmardjia or however its spelled). 1-0 Lookouts.

Devin Mesoraco with a single to tie the game at 1.

    Smit's run was not earned:

5IP, 1H, 2BB, 6K, 0ER. Dueling Price pretty well. He is lining himself up for a promotion IMO.

Eymann is another guy who is coming on strong. Is he making himself a prospect?

    Daryl Thompson third inning

    1. Strike 1 called I believe. Swinging strike. Offspeed in the dirt. BAll in the dirt. Strike 3.

    2. Missed this batter with Griffey's ab. Struck him out.

    3. Strikes him out.
