    6/9/08 Minor League Game Updates

Dayton was rained out. So was Sarasota.

    Louisville has the day off.

Chattanooga is up 2-0 thanks to an Eric Eymann HR in the first.

Mr. Eymann has been hitting the ball rather well at AA. Is he on the radar?

Eymann has been on fire. I believe he was named the hitter of the month of May for the Reds organization.

It's early, but Jukich has a 1 hit shutout going through the first 3 innings.

Valaika is in the lineup and is 0-2 tonight. It will be interesting to see if he remains in the game or is yanked at some point tonight due to Hairston's injury. My guess is it's Luis Bolivar that comes up from Louisville, but I suppose there's an outside chance we could see Valaika up from Chattanooga.

Is either one on the 40 man roster? If not, do they move Freel or someone to the 60 day to make room or drop someone?

We only have 39 on the 40 man as we speak.

Ahhh, then bring up Valika, let him play for a week to see what we got, or Rosales.

Jukich pitches a scoreless 4th, but gives up his second hit. Chattanooga goes up 6-0 in the top of the fifth.

Someone would have to be outrighted or 60 day'd if we sign Alonso to a Maj League deal in a week and call up CV or Rosales. The whole point of going to 39 was to sign him, nothing has changed since Thursday with that.

The Lookouts push across a run in the top of the 6th, and take a 7-0 lead. Jukich pitches a scoreless 5th.

    Jukich's line so far: 5 IP, 2 hits, 3 K.

Lookouts go to the bottom of the 7th up 7-0, Jukich pitches a scoreless 6th.

He has faced nearly the minimum in batters, and can go 9 if his pitch count is not too high.

Jukich pitched a scoreless 7th, but gives up his third hit.

    Jukich: 7 IP, 3 hits, 0 runs, 3 K
