Who is going to lead off with Hairston out?

My guess is Jay Bruce. Janish hitting 2nd behind him.

Leading off and playing SS for the Reds today, CP.

    Just Kidding, I think.

    My money is on Bruce.

I personally would hit phillips lead off. Slide Dunn to the cleanup spot vacated by phillips. I wouldn't put the pressure of leading off on Jay. Kids doing perfectly fine in the 2hole right now.

Honestly, Votto. He makes consistant contact, has a good eye, and isn't afraid to do what he's gotta do with 2 strikes. Once Kepp comes back, he'd hit leadoff in my lineup.

Janish will lead off. Hopefully Keppinger is back next week.

I agree with you, it will be Janish.

I'm guessing this injury might shorten Keppinger's rehab assignment.

this is a very bad injury for this team, a lineup with janish hitting leadoff will be hideous, but i don't know of anything i would really do differently. Is Norris Hopper close to coming back?

Corey Patterson homered a couple of games ago. That probably has Dusty thinking Corey has his stroke back.

So I would be forced to agree with ChatterRed. Be very afraid.

I like Janish, but he is a classic #8 guy. If he is at the top of the order ,the Reds are in trouble (more so than now)!
