J.Burton has been lights out lately. He has great stuff and the swagger needed to one day be a MLB closer in my opinion. He has prooven to be very valuable this season to the Reds often going more than one inning in relief in a minimal number of pitches. Do you guys like him in the role he is in now pitching in the 7th or should he suplant Weathers as our set up man in the 8th? In my opinion Burton has pitched well enough to earn that set up role title and pitch in the 8th inning. I personally would like to see Weathers and Bray in the 7th depending on a righty or lefty batting. A year from now if not later this year I would love to see Herrera in the 7th, Burton in the 8th, and Cordero in the 9th. That would be game over in my opinion. I think for the immediate future we could move Burton to the 8th and have a cheaper less talented but possibly just as successful version as the Yankees had with Chamberlein and Rivera. It would be nice to know that if the Reds were winning after 7 it was in the bag. The Angels also come to mind with Scott Shields and Rodriguiz. Some people will say that the game is just as wasily won.lost in the 7th as it is in the 8th, I just remember all the problems the Reds had in the 8th inning of ballgames last year and can't remember the last time the Reds had a dominant set up man and a dominant closer for the last two innings. Probably have to go back to the nasty boys. What say you?
