    directv - reds live

I was at my parents house this morning and my dad jokingly put on the channel that the Reds were supposed to be on. Much to our surprise, there was some pregame show on and we watched it right up until the time the game started. My parents do not have the MLB package.

I on the other hand have the MLB package and have NEVER been able to view any pre or post game shows. How can this be?

Anyone else with the MLB package able to view pre and / or post game Reds broadcasts? If so, I'll be putting out a call to Directv this week.

I live far from Cincinnati, have DirecTV and the MLB package and get every single Reds pre- and post-game show.

And I also get the Reds feed on every game, no more feeds from the other teams when the Reds are on the road. Unless, of course, FS Cincy isnt carrying the game.

I love living in the mountains, but couldn't do it without DirecTV.

I get every Bengals game too.

If you have the regional sports package (all the Fox Sports networks) you get the pre and post game shows on FS Ohio-cincinnati. Without the Extra Innings package, they balack out the game, but you get the other stuff.

Since our local cable company did an end-around on MLB and are carrying the Reds games this year (Pittsburgh has designated this area as their area which is funny--there isn't a Pirates fan within 200 miles unless they were born and raised in Pittsburgh and relocated here), we can't get any of the games on FS Ohio, even if we have the package (EI). It's in Low Def and even when the Reds are in HD on the package we're stuck with the normal feed. Today was a treat. TBS carried the game in HD (unbenown to MLB, I guess) so we got the see the massacre in vivid mode.

Frist HD game I've seen all year.

I wonder why they do that for DirecTv, but not the other providers? I have comcast and I would love to catch the pre/post game shows, but it's not possible.
