The Worst Move in Your League Thus Far

Since I am benefitting from a terrifc day from Jermaine Dye- who I got for free when somebody dumped him- I was wondering what the worst moves in everybody else's leagues were this year.

I picked up Dye, Takashi Saito, and Carlos Quentin after somebody dumped them.

A couple of my real early dumps, which in hindsight aren't too good.

    Rick Ankiel
    Kerry Wood
    Zack Greinke

Other notable drops in our league, include...

    JD Drew
    Matt Kemp
    Erik Bedard
    Aaron Harang

I also snagged Kemp off waivers, coupled him with Corey Hart and got back Jose Reyes in a trade right before he blew up.

I vetoed a trade earlier this year:

    Johan/Braun for Ortiz/Church/Cueto

I hate vetoes, but this trade was just truly awful. It was made on the Saturday before Braun started going off. The trade was awful then and looks 10 times worse now.

The biggest bone-headed trades in my league were my own. I gave up Adam Dunn & Josh Hamilton for Ichiro & Jeff Francour. I backed up this trade with another questionable one. I gave up Joey Votto & Geo Soto for Ivan Rodriquez & Albert Pujols. Even after these trades, I'm still in first place. AMAZING!!!!

    My current roster: R Martin, G Zaun - c
    A Pujols, P Fielder - 1b
    BJ Upton, A Ramirez - 2b
    F Fucal, Y Escobar - ss
    D Wright, R Braun - 3b
    J Dye, N Swisher, M Holliday, Ichiro, J Gullen - of

Pitchers - (only 5 on active staff)
    M Buehrle, AJ Burnett, G Floyd, F Hernandez, B Lyon, D McGowan, J Papelbon, M Rivera, J Sanchez, K Wood

Are there only 2 teams in your league? That's quite a roster.

My top waiver pick ups in my money league:

1B Connor Jackson, 2B/SS Ryan Theriot & SP Ervin Santana. I also had some success with Keppinger and 2B Clint Barmes before they got hurt.

I can lay claim to the top 2 in my league, I picked up Nate McLouth 2 weeks into the season but dropped him later when he slumped for a week. I also traded Jake Peavy for Aaron Harang & Michael Cuddyer
