    Cumberland is 2-for-4 with a triple and Valaika is 2-for-4 with a double.

    Dayton won 4-2. The Stewart kid looked good. BIG, BIG crowd at 5th/3rd tonight... had to pay for parking (no free spots) for the first time since 2001. :

    Given how bummed Dayton fans are about the promotions, do you think they would send Soto to Dayton before the season ends if he rakes the first few weeks for Billings?

    I just love how much talent the system seems to be producing now a days. Krivsky for all his faults really got this franchise turned in the right direction.

    Mustangs scored 2 runs in the top of the 9th, 1 on a solo HR by Tony Brown. They now lead 4-1 going to the bottom of the 9th. David Sappelt also had an RBI triple.

    Mustangs won 4-1.

    Notable offensive performances:

    Bucholz: 2-4, 1 double
    Soto: 1-4, 1 double
    Brown: 1-4, 1 HR, 1 RBI
    Sappett:2-4, 1 triple, 2 RBI

    Right-hander Zach Stewart also made his pro debut with two perfect innings (one fly out, five ground outs), drawing praise from manager Donnie Scott.

    "That's closer material right there," said Scott of the Reds' third-round draft choice from two weeks ago. "He has excellent stuff."
