This was the first time the "Young, Frank, and Stynes" OF started together for the Reds. The Reds' losing streak extended to eight games.

Mike Frank is another guy I have no recollection of. None. Was this another of Bowden's "Five Tool" guys? Average wise, he was explosive for his first two seasons - but he really fell into complete obscurity after that. At least he netted us Willy Mo with Drew.

Mike Frank was a left-handed outfielder who was a highly-regarded prospect on the fast track in the Reds minor-league system, but fizzled badly at the major-league level. Frank was a seventh-round pick in the 1997 draft, and was in the big leagues only a year later. But he lasted only a month with the Reds, and was sent back down to the minors, never to return. He was a left-handed version of Pat Watkins, Brady Clark, Chris Denorfia, Chad Mottola, and Steve Gibralter.
