    That was uncalled for. I bet you can't name all the players in the mlb right now off the top of your head with out the help of the pc you are on right now.

    Of course I can't largely because I have a life.

    My comment was more tongue-in-cheek than anything.

    that's great the kid can name all 750 players but is it really newsworthy. . . . or really THAT impressive?

    when I was 8 I could only name 25 players (the reds)
    3-2 at games this year
    5-9 all time

    2010 central division champions

    I always am disturbed by these stories---it almost seems like kids are parrots in these "stories" rather than really learning anything or having any intelligence...

    From what his father said, he did it all on his own, no one put him up to it. Color me very impressed.... smart kid.

    I wished about 3 million other 8 year olds like baseball as much as this kid does.

    When I was 8-10, I could not name all the players BUT...

    You could give me a name and I could tell you what team he played for...
